Sr Director of Development

The Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics (FAST) is looking for a Senior Director of Development to participate in the transformational growth of a mission-driven, globally ambitious nonprofit. The organization's purpose is to advance the development of promising therapeutics for all individuals living with Angelman syndrome, a rare neurogenetic disorder impacting approximately 1:15,000 individuals - and, in the process, become a leader in the world of rare-disease patient advocacy. As the Senior Director, you will oversee all aspects of the organization's development strategy and execution. WHO WE ARE The Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics (FAST) is the preeminent patient advocacy organization for Angelman syndrome (AS) and the largest non-governmental funder of Angelman syndrome research globally. We aim to bring practical treatment into current medical practice as quickly as possible while keeping the AS community informed about all significant research developments. FAST is renowned for funding high-risk, high-reward research grants that have yielded positive and promising results. We take a comprehensive approach to advancing the therapeutic pipeline, ensuring all strategies are pursued, and drug development infrastructure is in place to speed the development of potential therapies. ABOUT THIS ROLE Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role will be accountable for significant fundraising goals to support existing and future funding priorities. You will lead the charge in major gifts, prospect research and identification, grant management, corporate and foundation relations, and community annual giving programs and events. To be successful in this role, you must be a dynamic, self-motivated individual who is passionate about advancing our mission. You should have experience in fundraising, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding fundraising goals. You should also have excellent written and verbal communication skills and an avid interest in building relationships with donors, volunteers, and other stakeholders.
