Position: Parking Education and Enforcement Officer Department: Parking Authority The Borough of Lansdale Parking Authority has a full-time position for a Parking Education and Enforcement Officer. The position, under direct supervision of the Lansdale Police Department's Community Support Supervisor, is responsible for enforcing the Borough's parking regulations and ordinances while educating the public on the regulations and ordinances to improve understanding of parking opportunities within the Borough. A sample of job duties include: monitoring parking areas within the Borough for compliance with ordinances or posted signs; issuing tickets and attending District Justice hearings, if necessary; collecting money from slot boxes; communicating with business owners to advise them on all matters relating to parking ordinances; provide education to the public relating to parking opportunities and provide parking maps when requested; investigating and answering complaints regarding contested parking tickets; providing input regarding unsafe conditions in parking lots. This position requires the ability to work or stand for extended periods of time in all weather conditions and the ability to use computers and/or hand-held electronic devices. The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, extensive experience in community relations, and demonstrated record of trustworthiness in handling and accounting for money.
