Mechanical Design Engineer

Mechanical Design Engineer – Contribute to devel platforms to expand oil-free centrifugal compressor portfolio (dynamic turbo machinery, magnetic bearings, permanent magnet motors, integrated power electronics). Duties: define reqs and complete implementation for integrated compressor designs; model for component and system level designs incl 2D detail drawings; analysis of component level design; work within standards to maintain product lifecycle mgmt; collaborate with x-func teams in product devel, mfg eng, and procurement to ensure mfg and assembly feasibility/serviceability; tech R&D projects; design documentation following project stage gates; support certification to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, UL and CE and ensure environmental and safety guidelines are applied. Reqd: BS in Mech Eng pls 1 yr exp in product development of commercial centrifugal compressor engineering, including Design for Mfg, CAD modeling/drawing, familiarity w GD&T, stack-up tolerance studies; in lieu of BS pls exp, MS in in Mech Eng incl research focused on gas bearing design.
