HR Business Partner

As an HR Business Partner within Aerospace, you will be a trusted advisor to important leaders in our Aerospace division, while maintaining a business focus to help implement business strategies. You will undertake special projects that allow the leaders to create necessary organizational infrastructure (people, roles, organizational design) to create and grow a new specialized team within the company. You will report to Sr. HRBP Aerospace, Global Operations and will be seated at the Mojave, CA plant. Key Responsibilities Be the strategic partner and trusted advisor to the plant leadership team. Translate the business/ functional and corporate strategies into the HR agenda, enabled by data and analytics. Partner with leaders to create the right organizational design needed for a newly created special purpose organization. Create role and responsibilities for roles that would need to be hired in this team and collaborate with Talent Acquisition CoE to create hiring strategy for the plant including hiring talent at right time and at the right cost, sourcing both internal and external candidates. Collaborate with other HRBPs and CoEs to create a model where employees are internally sourced for roles in the plant. Partner with the HRBPs across regions ensure agreement of procedures across PPG in the US and Canada and advise on Policy and Employee Relations issues including resolving issues, leading and closing investigations. Provide leadership to important leaders to infuse diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) principles and practices into our ways of operating to build a diverse and inclusive work environment. Bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources or related field. Masters' degree in an HR-related field or PHR/SPHR certification. 8+ years of Human Resources experience; prefer high level of expertise in specialist areas including strategic partnership and employee relations. Interpersonal abilities; able to work with employees at all levels of the organization and move from strategic to tactical with ease.
