Health and Safety Engineer

Taconic, a global leader in the manufacturing of PTFE coated fiberglass fabric, belts, tapes has an opening in our Corporate office for a Health and Safety Engineer to provide oversight and management of Health and Safety activities, while ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local laws, for our NY and CA facility operations. Provides guidance and management of Safety Coordinator. Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline and five years of health and safety experience within a manufacturing setting. It is important for the individual who fills this role to be self-motivated and inclined toward continuous personal improvement, education, and development for themselves and others. Should have experience working with regulatory agencies. Have knowledge of company manufacturing processes with the ability to recommend changes as necessary. Have experience or training knowledge in Industrial Hygiene and OSHA regulations.
