ORANGE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE invites applications for the position of: Deputy Sheriff - Patrol (FL Certified Law Enforcement Officer) HIRING SALARY: • $52,520 - Candidates with less than 4 years law enforcement officer experience (vested with authority to bear arms and make arrests). • $54,371 - Candidates with 4+ years of full-time law enforcement officer experience (vested with authority to bear arms and make arrests). • $2,500 Signing Allowance - Candidates with 2 years full-time law enforcement officer experience and Florida certified (vested with authority to bear arms and make arrests) will receive a signing allowance;all others will receive a $1,500 Signing Allowance. Deputy Sheriffs are responsible for the protection of life and property and the enforcement of laws and regulations. This work involves an element of personal danger and frequent contact with the public during routine and emergency situations. This work requires the ability to effectively use computer systems and electronic equipment; and entails frequent contact with the public under routine and emergency conditions.
