CAD/Engineering Technician

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Road Permitting & Design One Call Response: 50% of Responsibilities (~20 hours/week) · Perform road permitting and Design One Call Ticket response. · Communicate status of road permit acquisition to project engineers. · Coordinate NFG involvement between regulatory agencies, consultants, and engineering staff PaDOT highway project coordination. · Occasional travel (day trips) to meet with local municipalities or State agencies for road permitting and/or to assist project engineers, environmental team and survey manager with field work, as needed. · Track & assist with highway road bonding permit acquisition. Map Review & Quality Control: 20% of Responsibilities (~8 hours/week) · QA/QC of maps prepared by others, to ensure they meet NFG specifications and requirements. Records Research & Data Analysis: 15% of Responsibilities (~6 hours/week) · Access various Company, public, and private record sources to acquire data for improving existing company databases, preparing competitive project maps, assisting with FERC filings, and in response to various internal and external data requests. · Research and compile Company pipeline completion report records. · Acquire, integrate, manage, analyze, and output Geospatial data from various data sources with different mapping datums, different coordinate systems, and different degrees of accuracy to produce various complex data driven reports and graphical displays. Map Creation: 15% of Responsibilities (~6 hours/week) · Prepare and coordinate Company mapping between different departments within the company.
