Assistant Professor of Busines

The United States Air Force Academys Department of Law seeks applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Law beginning in the 2024-25 academic year. The successful candidate will teach the Law Departments undergraduate Business Law course which covers, among other things, contracts, business organizations, agency, products liability, and employment and labor law. The successful candidate will also teach our introductory undergraduate law course, Law for Air Force Officers, which is primarily a survey of U.S. law with an emphasis on law relevant to U.S. citizens and military officers. Additionally, the successful candidate will co-teach an interdisciplinary Law and Economics course, with a member from the Department of Economics, focusing on tort law, contracts, and criminal law with a focus on how the law is shaped by economic theory. We are particularly interested in candidates who have a record of scholarship, or who have demonstrated scholarly potential in business law. Applicants will be assessed based on teaching credentials, professional experience, scholarship, service, and education. Preference will be given to applicants with a record of teaching business law. In their cover letter / letter of interest, applicants must include a statement of their teaching philosophy and a research agenda.
