The Oswego County Attorney's Office has an immediate opening for an Assistant County Attorney. This entry-level position will be primarily responsible for general government matters, contract review, administrative hearings and covering Family Court matters as may be needed. Duties include providing legal advice and guidance to County agencies and officers; additional duties as required. Qualifications: Graduation from an ABA accredited law school and admitted to practice in New York State for 1-3 years. In addition, NYS Public Officers Law requires Assistant County Attorneys to be citizens of the United States. Oswego County residency is required at the time of appointment and throughout the duration of employment. A Certificate of Good Standing from the Supreme Court, Appellate Division, is required to be furnished prior to commencing employment. Starting Salary: Negotiable depending upon experience.
