Summary: Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, America's first cancer center and New York State's only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center outside the New York City Metropolitan area, is seeking to expand research in cancer Genetics & Genomics, to further develop personalized cancer medicine. RPCCC is committed to expanding our world-class cancer Genetics and Genomics program that will enhance our basic understanding of the molecular genetic mechanisms of cancer, advance and accelerate genomics science and technology development, and efficiently translate laboratory research in cancer genetics and genomics into the clinic. To achieve this goal, we invite applications for multiple positions at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor in the Department of Cancer Genetics and Genomics(https://www.roswellpark.org/research/departments/cancer-genetics-genomics). Our faculty are part of and interact extensively with the 4 CCSG science programs (https://www.roswellpark.org/research/ccsg-research-programs Roswell Park's mission is focused on the prevention, treatment, and cure of cancer. The ideal candidates will have scientific achievement in research utilizing genomic and or epigenomic approaches to understand cancer initiation, progression or treatment response and have an established track record of externally-funded research or the strong potential to develop one. Candidates at the Associate and Full Professor rank should possess a proven track record of peer-reviewed funding and be nationally recognized for scholarly activity. The ideal candidates will be highly collaborative, eager to develop team science, and invested in advancing translational research with applications to clinical samples. In addition to a distinguished record of scientific achievement, the applicants must also be committed to the education and mentorship of students, post-doctoral fellows, and junior faculty. A commitment to graduate-level advising, mentoring, and teaching is required. This position also requires a commitment to scientific and administrative activities in the department and institute, disease site translational research groups, and the Cancer Center Support Grant programmatic activities.
