Admissions Coordinator Job Description Required: A High School diploma or GED certificate with three (3) years of professional experience related to the standard duties as outlined. Equivalency: Completion of a post-secondary degree or certificate may substitute for years of experience OR any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience as approved by Human Resources Department. FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Level: Seven (7) Salary: $18.18 - $20.46 per hour (DOE) Background: Southeast New Mexico College (formerly New Mexico State University Carlsbad) was formed by House Bill 212 in April 2021. HB212 made Southeast New Mexico College an independent college accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. SENMC is a diverse and community-centered institution dedicated to excellence and student success through transformative discovery. Position Overview: Under direct supervision of the Vice President of Student Services, the Admissions Coordinator as part of the Admissions, Registration and Recruitment department will monitor, post, and process SENMC data. Creates and maintains computerized and paper records by performing routine queries and generating applicable reports. Ensures integrity of student, personnel, financial, and/or all other confidential records as appropriate by the department. Makes certain that deadlines are met and completed with a high degree of accuracy. Incumbent is responsible for training and directing records system coding and assignments handled by assistants. Purpose and Scope: The duties below are representative of the duties of the classification and are not intended to cover all the duties performed by the incumbent(s) of any particular position.
