Through its varied programs, AIChE continues to be a focal point for information exchange on the frontiers of chemical engineering research in such areas as energy, sustainability, biological and environmental engineering, nanotechnology, and chemical plant safety and security. Position Summary The Engineering Associate has strong written and verbal communication skills, project management skills, and problem solving skills. As the face of AIChE to volunteers and our undergraduate student members and vice versa, it is important to be able to effectively communicate both within the organization and with members. Project management skills are crucial for staying organized and keeping the department's many programs and initiatives on track throughout the year. The ability to identify problems and thoughtfully resolve them is critical to supporting AIChE's continued growth. The top priorities for this role are to retain and grow student membership and to guide, develop, and support essential functions related to undergraduate student membership and Student Chapter programs. Responsibilities Under the direction of the Manager, Early Career Membership, the Engineering Associate will achieve the following objectives: Support and guide essential functions related to undergraduate student membership and Student Chapter, including conferences and events, in conjunction with Membership Department teammates and various other stakeholders Coordinate technical student competition and award programs, such as the AIChE Chem-E-Car Competition and Student Design Competition Monitor program results and share necess
